What a placement is

A placement is a marked block on the site or a marked note in the Telegram channel. It is sold as advertising. It is not a story, and it does not move into Markets, Macro, Policy, or Research because someone paid.

The desk does not publish a rate card. The fit is decided one by one.

What a sponsor does not get

A sponsor does not assign the story, choose the headline, or see copy before it is published. A reporter's sentence is not for sale. If a company is the subject of a story, that story is still reported from the source, not from the insertion order.

How to ask

Write the Telegram channel with the word Advertise, what you want to run, and the dates. The desk answers if there is a fit. A pitch with no product and no dates will not get a yes.

The label

If it was paid, the reader can see that it was paid. The label stays on the piece. Taking the label off is not a negotiation.
