In a significant development for the cryptocurrency landscape, European crypto exchange WhiteBIT has announced a renewed five-year agreement with FC Barcelona, extending their partnership to enhance the integration of digital assets in the sports sector. The deal emphasizes a shared vision aimed at driving global innovation and bolstering the practical use of cryptocurrencies.
WhiteBIT Until 2030, Here We Go!
On Friday, the esteemed football club FC Barcelona, popularly known as Barça, solidified its strategic alliance with WhiteBIT, Europe’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by traffic volume, through a new partnership agreement extending until 2030. This collaboration reaffirms their ongoing relationship that began in 2022, during which WhiteBIT has served as both a Global Partner and the Official Cryptocurrency Exchange Partner of the club.
Last year, WhiteBIT showcased its commitment by prominently displaying the name of the winner from its first International Crypto Trading Cup (ICTC 2025) on the LED boards during El Clásico, the highly anticipated clash between FC Barcelona and rival Real Madrid.
This renewed partnership aims to intertwine the realms of cryptocurrency and sports, setting ambitious standards for how technology can reshape global ecosystems. As articulated in their announcement, the collaboration envisions a future where digital finance integrates seamlessly with fan engagement and sports culture.

In addition to solidifying its role in FC Barcelona’s men’s and women’s football teams, as well as its basketball division, WhiteBIT will take an enhanced position within the Barça Innovation Hub (BIHUB). This expanded role reflects a deeper commitment to leveraging cryptocurrency to improve fan experiences.
Manel del Río, CEO of FC Barcelona, remarked on the significance of this renewed partnership, stating, “This renewal highlights the strength and appeal of our brand, as well as our ability to connect with innovative sectors. In this case, the cryptocurrency sector, a growing field with significant strategic potential for the coming years.”
Echoing this sentiment, Volodymyr Nosov, President and Founder of W Group—which encompasses WhiteBIT—expressed the platform’s ambition to facilitate mass cryptocurrency adoption. He indicated that the exchange aims to make digital finance accessible to a wider audience globally.
Taking Crypto Beyond The Industry
The renewed alliance between WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona is designed to transform cryptocurrencies into a practical, everyday tool for millions of fans worldwide. The objective extends beyond mere visibility within the sports arena; it focuses on executing real-world crypto applications that are feasible across the sports industry.
Both organizations plan to collaborate on multiple initiatives that encompass fan engagement, digital education, and interactive experiences, with a goal of bridging the gap between advanced technology and the global audience. “Together with Barça, we are taking crypto beyond the industry and into everyday life—creating experiences that millions of fans can actually use. This is how adoption happens,” Nosov stated.
One of the standout offerings emerging from this collaboration is the planned introduction of an FC Barcelona-themed design for the WhiteBIT Nova debit card. This initiative will allow fans to customize their debit cards with the club’s visual identity, while also offering various benefits, such as special features and perks linked to the partnership.
In conjunction with these developments, WhiteBIT has initiated a promotional campaign providing users the chance to win 52 tickets to see El Clásico at the iconic Spotify Camp Nou on May 10, 2026. Participants must engage with the exchange through a series of predefined actions between April 24 and May 4 to qualify for the draw.
As of now, WhiteBIT’s native token, WBT, is reflecting a positive movement in the trading scene, currently priced at $55.4, indicating a modest 1.1% increase over the past month. This uptick in value may signal growing investor interest aligned with the exchange’s expanding visibility and strategic initiatives in collaboration with a world-famous football club.
